SEATA 2010 Golf Tournament

This year's event will be held Sunday morning, July 11th at the Mountain Springs Golf Course, Greystone Country Club in Cabot, Arkansas. Featured on the Natural State Golf Trail, this course is only a 25-30 minute drive from the hotel and transportation will be provided. An early-bird breakfast will be provided, as well as lunch, where the prizes for superior performance will be awarded. For registration information, click here. Golf registration and payment must be received by Tuesday, June 15th. After this date, please send an email to scott.fryer@dfa.arkansas.gov to check on golf registration.

For those golfers who wish to rent clubs from the country club, please send an email to Scott Fryer requesting right or left handed clubs. The $30 rental fee must be paid to the country club by the golfer when the clubs are picked up Sunday morning.

Opening Reception

On Sunday evening, conference attendees and their guests will be treated to an opening reception at the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Center. The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. During the reception, the library will be open for conference attendees, so enjoy this evening and set aside time to completely tour this great library with your conference colleagues.

Guest Tours

On Monday, spouses and guests of conference attendees have the opportunity to tour historic Little Rock which ends at the beautiful Marlsgate Plantation to enjoy a lovely two-course luncheon and tour the house and gardens or visit the beautiful Garvan Woodland Gardens and Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, America's oldest National Park. Breakfast at the hotel, lunch at either Marlsgate, or Garvan Woodland Gardens, and transportation is provided for both tours.

On Tuesday, enjoy self guided tours of Little Rocks' many historic features and fine museums; many shops and museums are within a short walking distance from the Little Rock Peabody Hotel. See more on what Little Rock and Arkansas have to offer.

Youth Program

Sunday evening at the old ball park. All youth will attend a professional baseball game at Dickey-Stephens Park, home of the Arkansas Travelers. Along with the game, there will be plenty of food and fun at the park’s picnic area and the opportunity to meet some of the players.

Monday morning following a continental breakfast (with parents) at the hotel, the youth will be taken to the Arkansas Rice Depot where they will gain hands on experience of helping those less fortunate than themselves by repackaging and labeling food for the needy. This will be followed by lunch and an afternoon of arcade games, bumper cars, go carts, mini golf, laser tag, rock climbing, and much more at Playtime Pizza. (No youth program on Monday evening). Please Note: Parents whose children are signed up for the Rice Depot event will be required to sign the Rice Depot's Volunteer Consent form when they check in at the SEATA Conference Registration Desk.

Tuesday evening (no scheduled events during the day) will be spent at the Aerospace Education Center, where the youth will enjoy a pizza supper at the museum, and 2 IMAX shows.

Closing Banquet

The Closing Banquet will be held Tuesday evening. Musical entertainment will be provided by The Rockets.
